HUNTER MOUNTAIN, THURSDAY-SUNDAY

For the eighth year in a row, lovers of sun and six-strings will flock to Hunter Mountain for one of the region’s largest—and first!—summer music festivals. Named one of Rolling Stone’s favorite festivals of the season, and one of the top eight music festivals in the country, this three-day celebration focuses on everything green and, of course, brain-simmering rock. This year’s lineup includes Steve Winwood, Gov’t Mule, the Roots, Ben Folds Five, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Michael Franti and Spearhead, the Word, James Murphy, Trombone Shorty, a bunch more and a special Gov’t Mule Tribute Ramble featuring the late Levon Helm’s band. (May 31-June 3, $60-$170, Hunter, 888-512-7469)
