It’s still inevitable in rock & roll that when a British quartet of young moptops splash down in America, a certain mania ensues. No one’s limo got mobbed when the Kooks played the Upstate Concert Hall Sunday night (May 27), but the bar was nearly drained and more than one Beatle’s name was taken in vain. Well, at least we think that’s what we heard. When you douse a Brighton accent in a handful of pints, it might as well be a different language entirely.
