VALENTINE’S, WEDNESDAY
The term grass widow refers to a woman whose husband is alive but absent, often at war or sea. The band grass widow may comprise only three women, but they certainly aren’t missing any men. All three of them share in singing and writing duties, making for colorful, harmonic vocals and catchy melodies that set them apart from other girl postpunk bands. Last week, the San Francisco trio released an album, Internal Logic, on their own, new record label. They will be joined by local project Better Pills at Valentine’s on Wednesday.
