SPAC, FRIDAY-SUNDAY
They don’t often get credit for it, but Phish fans rank among particle physicists, meteorologists and tabloid gossips for the intense levels of observation, analysis and sheer gab they afford their subject. And the wookie report for the band’s upcoming uprecedented three-night run at SPAC is nothing but Gamehendge and sour deisel. The SPAC run will culminate the first leg of the band’s summer touring, which featured plenty of suprises including an impromptu cover of Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler” at Bonnaroo—with Rogers himself. Up until this weekend, it’s all just been warm-up for what’s sure to be some climactic tour-closing sets. (July 6-8, 7:30 PM, $45-$60, Saratoga Spa State Park, Saratoga Springs, 587-3330)
