Blues Traveler

by The Staff on October 11, 2012

For everyone who wasn’t of show-going age in the mid-’90s, please watch Wetlands Preserved, the documentary on legendary NYC jam venue the Wetlands Preserve, streaming on Netflix. We’ll wait . . .

Crazy, right? Who knew that the band responsible for “Run-Around,” that song you hear every time you’re in the cat-food aisle, were basically the kings of hippie New York?! Well, it’s been a long time since H.O.R.D.E. Tour, but Blues Traveler haven’t really slowed down, spitting out a new record every couple years and keeping to a lean, mean touring schedule. In June, the John Popper-fronted quintet released Suzie Cracks the Whip, which put them back within the Billboard Top 100, not to mention back on the road doing what they do best.

Blues Traveler will play Putnam Den (63A Putnam St., Saratoga Springs) on Monday (Oct. 15) at 9 PM. Tickets are $28. Call 584-8066 for more info.
