The Second City, Chicago’s legendary sketch/improv-comedy institution, is concerned that your mental well-being is being challenged by pollsters, spin doctors, pusillanimous pundits and dissembling and/or somnambulant politicians. And they’re coming to the Palace tonight (Thursday) with a laughing cure for the political silly season.
Second City for President is advertised as a “gut-busting comedy revue that doles out laughter at the expense of both sides of the aisle as well as comedy that is decidedly unpolitical, uncensored and unabashedly hilarious.”
Funnier than Joe Biden hanging out with a biker chick? More bracing than Paul Ryan being booed by a posse of angry seniors? See for yourself.
The Second City will perform tonight (Thursday, Oct. 11) at 7 PM at the Palace Theatre (19 Clinton Ave., Albany). Tickets are $20-$30, with a limited number of $50 VIP tickets available. For tickets, call (800) 745-3000.
