Better known in the concert halls of Europe than America, Fink is on a tour that recently saw her debut with the Chicago Symphony, and will include performances with the Cleveland Symphony and in recital at Lincoln Center.
The Guardian has praised her “her silvery tone and fluent delivery,” and the Telegraph (U.K.) has admired Fink for her “refinement, subtlety and sensibility. . . . She never sings louder than lovely.”
The program at Union College will include music of Schumann, Mahler and Dvorák.
Bernarda Fink will perform Monday (Nov. 12) at 8 PM at the Union College Memorial Chapel (Union College, Schenectady). Tickets are $25, $10 students. For more info, call 388-6201.
