The Clark Art Institute is opening its new Kidspace exhibit this weekend, and it’s a doozy. Lions and Tigers and Museums, Oh My! explores the various ways humans interact with animals. The exhibit includes a display dedicated to mountain lion sightings in Berkshire County, a presentation of Peter Paul Reubens’ phantasmagorical mural La Chase au tigre (1916) via video from France, a falconry display, and a reading space with comfy beanbag chairs and animal-related books.
Oh, and there’s an awesome taxidermy male lion (pictured), too, which should grab your children’s attention—and, maybe, invade their dreams.
Kidspace @ the Clark: Lions and Tigers and Museums, Oh My! opens Saturday (Nov. 17) at the Clark Art Institute’s Stone Hill Center (225 South St., Williamstown, Mass.) and will be on view through March 31, 2013. For more info, visit clarkart.edu or call (413) 458.2303.
