The holidays are here, and Ghent Playhouse is welcoming them with its own form of seasonal revelry: a PantoLoons’ production of a (family-friendly) burlesque on Robin Hood filled with nonsense and joy.
Robin and the boys (many of whom are played by ladies in this production) return to steal from the rich, give to the poor, and rescue Maid Marian. The play has been written by the Playhouse’s own Judy Staber, along with her zany confederates in the PantoLoons.
Robin Hood: Fifty Shades of Green opens Friday (Nov. 23) and runs through Dec. 9 at the Ghent Playhouse (6 Town Hall Road, Ghent). Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM. Tickets are $18, $10 kids. For more info, call 392-6264.
