Three Stooges Film Festival

by The Staff on November 21, 2012

The Three Stooges Film Fest at the Palace is one of the highlights of the Capital Region moviegoing year. No, really: Classic comedy shorts were made for big screens and large audiences. The Palace has the screen, and the moviegoers turn out. The impact of the gags is greater than on TV, and laughter is infectious. The Palace always puts on a great show, too, usually offering a few cinematic surprises along with the Stooges.

This program will include shorts featuring Curly Howard, Shemp Howard and Joe Besser—alongside Moe Howard and Larry Fine, of course. These guys made shorts at Columbia Pictures for almost 25 years, and you’ll be surprised at the multiplicity of ways they can poke each other in the eye.

The Three Stooges Film Festival will be held at the Palace Theatre (19 Clinton Ave., Albany) at 7 PM on Monday (Nov. 26). Tickets are $5, $3 children. For more info, call 465-3334.
