Milo Greene

by Metroland Staff on February 7, 2013

THE LINDA, SATURDAY

Milo Greene is not a man, but the definitive cinematic-pop band. In fact, they’re the only cinematic-pop band. They created the genre by melding lush male-female harmonies with simple, largely acoustic arrangements that really let the vocals soar. Oh, and they made a film, too, Moddison. Moddison weaves a story about the relationship between a man and a mysterious woman in a bright red wig, and it’s all set to the music of Milo Greene’s eponymous debut album, which appeared last year. Catch them on Friday, along with special guest, blues guitarist and singer MaryLeigh Roohan at the Linda. (Feb. 9, 8 PM, $15, 339 Central Ave., Albany, 465-5233)
