Albert Lee

by Metroland Staff on February 14, 2013

THE EGG, THURSDAY

Also known as “Mr. Telecaster,” Albert Lee has been in music for upwards of 50 years—and he shows no sign of stopping. Lee, who turns 70 in December, has played his signature style of electric blues guitar with powerhouses ranging from Eric Clapton to Bo Diddley. On top of that, he’s a prolific solo artist with a dedicated following that includes contemporary country artist Brad Paisley, who sees Lee as one of the “all-time guitar gods.” So treat your S.O. to some fiery fretwork this Valentine’s Day, because nothing guarantees sex like watching a man work a long, wooden shaft.
