Howard Fishman

by Metroland Staff on February 28, 2013

Do you like big bands? How about guy-with-guitar solo artists? What about jazz like Louis Armstrong? Maybe you heard “When the Saints Go Marching In” at Mardi Gras some years back, and you want to (try your best to) remember some of those great times? Well, if you answered “yes” to any of those questions, be sure to see guitarist and bandleader Howard Fishman at Skidmore this Friday. Fishman melds early jazz with a whole host of other American genres, making for a style that puts critics and audiences “at a loss to describe,” according to Fishman’s website.
