More snow, more cold: We’re willing to bet that your kids have a well-developed case of “cabin fever.” And if your kids don’t have this malady, we’re certain that you, dear parent, are dying to get your offspring out of the house.
Well, here come New York’s Office of General Services and Hannaford supermarkets to the rescue: This weekend they’re presenting the annual Kidz Expo at the Empire State Plaza. There will be enough activities to run even the most robust youngster ragged, as the Expo will stretch from the Convention Center to the Egg’s Swyer Theater to half the length of the Concourse. There will be games, prizes, giveaways, vendors—and, headlining at the Egg, good old purple dinosaur Barney (pictured). Barney will perform his song-and-dance act at 10:30 AM and 2 PM. (Barney also will do meet-and-greets at noon and 3 PM.)
The Kidz Expo will be held Saturday (March 2) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Empire State Plaza (Albany). Admission is free. For more info, visit ogs.ny.gov, 474-0538 or click on this PDF schedule.
