Graham Alexander is 23 years old. Does that surprise you? Sure, the kid’s precocious, but that name is rock gold. It’s like Ray Davies, Waylon Jennings or Robbie Robertson—both timelessly regal and back-home, almost phonetically preordained for the Hall of Fame. And his music? Yeah, it’s pretty good too.
Alexander got his start in high school with a band called the Roadrunners, but really started to take off when he went solo in 2005. His self-titled debut came out at the end of 2011, and since then he’s shared the stage with Willie Nelson, John Mayer, Grace Potter and Brandi Carlile—all equally sturdy rock names. Locals Stellar Young will open for his stop at the Linda.
Graham Alexander will play the Linda (WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio, 339 Central Ave., Albany) tomorrow (Friday, March 29) at 8 PM. Tickets are $15. Call 465-5233 ext. 4 for more info.
