Troy’s Collar Works Gallery is serving it up New Orleans-style with its latest exhibit, Louisiana Sampler. The exhibition is a showcase for artists associated with The Front, a post-Katrina collective devoted to “DIY determinism” and cultivating “new and experimental work.”
The show will include video and sculpture by Rachel Avena, a large-scale self-portrait by Kyle Bravo, photographs by Jonathan Traviesa and paintings by Brooke Pickett (pictured).
Louisiana Sampler opens tomorrow (Friday, March 29) at the Collar Works Gallery (444 River St., Third Floor, Troy) with a Troy Night Out reception from 5 to 9 PM. The show will remain on view through April 26. For more info, call 253-1756 or visit collarworks.org.
