King Khan

by Metroland Staff on April 4, 2013

Often dressing up like a mix between a crazed witch doctor and a Hawiian king, King Khan does not look like your average garage rocker or James Brown impersonator. Khan and his band the Shrines belt out funky, dirty, low-fi rock & roll. However, at this event, Khan will be DJing mash-ups of vintage soul, funk, and R&B. And even though Khan got his start in rock bands, it’s safe to say that whatever he does, it’s sure to be funkier than George Clinton’s smelly socks (sorry, George).
