The University at Albany has put together a hip-hop show for this year’s annual Parkfest. Paying a visit to the SEFCU arena this year will be 2 Chainz (pictured) and Travis Porter. 2 Chainz (formerly known as Tity Boi, seriously) has been an overnight success story in rap music, going from relatively unknown to selling 200,000 copies of his 2012 debut studio album, Based on a T.R.U. Story.

Travis Porter is not a single guy but rather a hip-hop trio made up of childhood friends. Stepbrothers Ali and Quez met the third member of the group, Strap, while attending the same middle school in Decatur, Ga. They signed to Jive Records in 2010 and have yet to make the jump to mainstream success.

Parkfest 2013 will take place in the SEFCU Arena (University at Albany, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany) tonight (Thursday, April 11) at 8 PM. Admission is free for students and $15 for others. Call 442-5640 for more info.
