Aimee Mann

by Metroland Staff on April 17, 2013

CLUB HELSINKI, THURSDAY

It’s easy to describe the kind of artist cred Aimee Mann carries around with her simply by listing the other folks who have eagerly become involved in her projects: James Mercer, Ted Leo, Laura Linney, David Cross, Patton Oswalt. Sure, these are all figures of a certain generation, and Mann herself is often referred to retrospectively as an icon of the ’90s. Yet, the past decade has been an incredibly busy one for her. Last year’s Charmer comes after a string of albums and a host of TV appearances—often playing herself. When she’s not playing music she’s cleaning houses in Portland.
