REO Speedwagon, Styx, Ted Nugent

by Metroland Staff on April 17, 2013

GLENS FALLS CIVIC CENTER, WEDNESDAY

What the hell have REO Speedwagon been up to for the past 20-or-so years? Apparently they went the way of many other ’80s bands whose time was up but just never wanted to call it quits: They’ve remained out of the spotlight but have continued to release albums for loyal fans (the most recent was Christmas-themed). As for Ted Nugent, he’s remained somewhat “relevant” by angering animal activists, championing gun rights, making veiled death threats to the president, releasing a few albums, and, of course, collecting royalties from “Cat Scratch Fever.” (April 24, 7 PM, $47-$72, 1 Civic Center Plaza., Glens Falls, 432-2849)
