Toronto may have scooped up the North by Northeast Festival title, but Albany’s MOVE Music Festival is pushing to assert itself as the Northeast’s answer to the fabled Austin gathering. In its second year, MOVE has made good on Albany’s ranking as “9th largest breeding ground for new music,” expanding into a legitimately citywide festival, filling 10 venues with more than 100 acts all in a single day—this Saturday.
The schedule is much too long to reproduce in this space, so cruise over to movemusicfest.com for the full breakdown. A wristband will grant you access to all MOVE events for the course of the day and will cost you only 15 bones. Festivals like this require real audience strategy to catch the acts you want; a little planning can go a long way. Slated to perform are Sean Rowe (pictured), Young London, Paranoid Social Club, MIRK, Engloria, Black Light Dinner Party, Wild Adriatic, Stellar Young, Titanics, the Big Takeover, and a bunch more local, regional, national and even international acts.
MOVE Music Festival comes to 10 Albany venues on Saturday (April 27) from 4 PM to 4 AM. Wristbands are $15. Go to movemusicfest.com for more info.
