Clutch, the Sword

by Metroland Staff on May 2, 2013

Sounds like a medieval command, right? Clutch the sword . . . and draw it forth to smite the adversaries of rock. The two acts make more than syntactical sense together, though. Clutch’s new record Earth Rocker is being heralded as their heaviest to date, following a bout of touring with Thin Lizzy and Motörhead, while the Sword’s latest, Apocryphon, enlisted the talents of former Clutch producer J. Robbins to capture that band’s early stoner metal sound. Anyone LinkedIn with George R.R. Martin? We’ve got to get these guys on Game of Thrones.
