Joe Bonamassa

by Metroland Staff on May 8, 2013

PALACE THEATER, SATURDAY

Blues veteran Joe Bonamassa is currently touring to promote his brand new solo album Driving Towards The Daylight, which was No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart. This was not an isolated success: It’s the eighth time that Bonamassa has reached this mark. Bonamassa is renowned for his stage presence, often playing longer than two hours and following it with an encore. The upstate New York native has been putting out solo music since 2000, after performing for years with the group Bloodline, featuring Erin Davis, Waylon Krieger and Berry Oakley Jr., and has been performing for crowds since opening up for B.B. King at age 12. (May 11, $72-$92, 19 Clinton Ave., Albany, 465-3334)
