Investments Revisited

The wild weather held off on Tuesday (May 21) long enough for the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region to host its Annual Spring Tour. This year, the event took investors, borrowers, and members of local nonprofits throughout Troy’s downtown to get a firsthand glimpse of development projects that have benefited from Community Loan Fund lending. The tour stopped at the Arts Center, Sweet Sue’s, X’s to O’s Vegan Bakery, Eco-Baby Day Care, and ended at the Independent Living Center. “Thirty-five businesses opened downtown in the last year,” said Elizabeth Young, executive director of the Troy Downtown BID. “That averages one every 10 days.”
