The Berkshire Museum continues its 110th anniversary celebration with the opening of a big summer-and-fall contemporary art exhibition this weekend. PaperWorks: The Art and Science of an Extraordinary Material “explores paper as a source of creative inspiration and innovation.”
Featured artists include Michel Ocelot, Jen Stark, Michael Crozier, Erik Demaine, Steven Briand, Simon Griesser and more than 25 others. Pictured is Ian Wright’s Paper Trail.
Special events related to the show in July and August will include Origami Plus, an origami workshop held every Tuesday at 1 PM, and the Paper Plane Challenge, featuring a new design every week, on Thursdays at 1 PM.
There is an opening reception tomorrow (Friday, June 14) from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. PaperWorks: The Art and Science of an Extraordinary Material officially opens Saturday (June 15) at the Berkshire Museum (39 South St., Pittsfield, Mass.) and will remain on view through Oct. 26.
