Warren County’s Independence Day celebration is in Glens Falls’ Crandell Park, and the highlight—alongside the antique cars, food and beverage vendors and evening-concluding fireworks spectacular—will be a pops performance by the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra.
The GFSO doesn’t get as much ink as other regional symphonies, but that isn’t because they aren’t very fine. And under the baton of Maestro Charles Peltz, they’ve more than distinguished themselves in recent years with guest artists including Sarah Chang. On the evening of July 4 they’ll perform pop tunes and patriotic favorites. Guests will include state Assemblyman Dan Stec and state Sen. Betty Little.
The Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra will perform tomorrow (Thursday, July 4) at 7:30 PM in Crandell Park (Glens Falls). Admission is free. The rain location is the auditorium at Glens Falls High School; updates can be found at gfso.org or by calling 793-1348.
