That siren you’re hearing is the Prog Army sending out the alert: The legendary English band Yes are coming to Holyoke’s Mountain Park, and they are going to play three classic albums in their entirety: The Yes Album, Close to the Edge and Going for the One. We even heard that they’re playing “Roundabout” as an encore. This, dear friends, will be an evening of majestic progressive psychedelic art rock. The New York Times gave the tour a solid “thumbs up” when it stopped by the Beacon Theatre earlier this year.
The current lineup is bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, Keyboardist Geoff Downes and singer Jon Davison. (Sorry, fans, Jon Anderson and the group are still on the outs.)
Yes will perform Saturday (July 27) at 8 PM at Mountain Park (Route 5, Holyoke, Mass.). Tickets are $35-$75. For more info, call (413) 586-8686.
