The Albany Symphony will kick off their fall season this Saturday night at the Palace with a program titled Tchaikovsky’s Fourth. This, of course, means they’ll be performing Tchaikovsky’s romantic Symphony No. 4. Violinist Cho-Liang Lin (pictured) will join the ASO and maestro David Alan Miller for a performance of Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1.
This isn’t an all-Russian musical evening, however. The third work on the bill is contemporary Brazilian composer Clarice Assad’s Nhanderu.
The Albany Symphony Orchestra will perform Saturday (Sept. 21) at 7:30 PM at the Palace Theatre (19 Clinton Ave., Albany). Call for prices. For more info, call 694-3300.
