Proctors, Tuesday

The chords struck by her piano have hit the emotional epicenters of hearts all over the world. Diana Krall has generated a career that spans two decades, during which she’s scored many accolades including two Grammys. Although her music is rooted in jazz, there are elements of Bossa Nova and a strong sense for pop melody. Krall has been a go-to girl for television soundtracks, even branching her talents out to the big screen, where she appeared in the 2009 thriller Public Enemies. Glad Rag Doll is her latest album, a collection of jazz tunes from the’20s and ’30s, drawn from her father’s record collection. (Oct. 1, 8 PM, $30-120, 432 State Street, Schenectady, 346-6204)
