Beginning this weekend, the Lake George Arts Project will showcase the paper and digital print work of Naomi Lewis. “By assembling a network of repeated visual elements that overlap and interlace with each other,” the gallery notes say, “she creates structures that resemble forms in nature.”
Her work also explores and celebrates the “connection between domestic craft, such as wallpaper, doilies, and samplers with her own personal history.”
The Naomi Lewis exhibit will open Saturday (Nov. 16) with a reception from 4 to 6 PM at the Lake George Arts Project’s Courthouse Gallery (Canada and Lower Amherst streets, Lake George). It will remain on view through Dec. 20. For more info, visit lakegeorgearts.org or call 668-2616.
