The Franklin Electric

by The Staff on November 27, 2013

Club Helsinki, Friday

Folk rock is all the rage lately, but unique about the Franklin Electric is their confident brass section and strong harmonies. After claiming first prize in a Nashville songwriting competition for their song “Old Piano” in 2012, the Montreal-based indie-folk band caught the public’s attention. This folk-pop-brass collective released their first album, This is How I Let You Down, in June. The group’s next endeavor is to release a series of orchestral remixes of songs from their original album. Head over to Club Helsinki on Friday to hear some of their rootsy jams.
