The Temptations

by The Staff on December 5, 2013

We have a humble confession to make: We thought Otis Williams was dead. Sorry Mr. Williams, but some of the world’s greatest artists have endured false-alarm death announcements and only come back stronger—Bill Cosby among them.

So you can imagine what a pleasant surprise it was to hear that Williams would again be leading his classic Motown group back to a Capital Region stage. Williams is the only original founding member left in the group, but the most important thing is that the songs have survived (they’ll never die). “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” “The Way You Do the Things You Do” . . . timeless.

The Temptations will play the Egg (Empire State Plaza, Albany) on Saturday (Dec. 7) at 8 PM. Tickets are $34.50. Call 473-1845 for more info.
