We know that a lot of you people are sick of “winter” already, even though—ha! ha!—it isn’t even winter yet. If you want to bring some old-school Las Vegas heat to this Northeast deep freeze, may we suggest traveling back in time to the mid-1960s sometime Friday through Sunday with Christmas With the Rat Pack: Live at the Sands. And all you have to do is drive to Schenectady.
Christmas With the Rat Pack: Live at the Sands is a “ring a-ding-ding” holiday romp with a 12-piece big band, the “fabulous” Burelli Sisters, and Frank Sinatra (Tom Ward), Sammy Davis Jr. (Jason Pennycooke) and Dean Martin (Nigel Casey). Vintage banter, American standards, holiday faves and showbiz glitz just might be the cure for what ails you.
Christmas With the Rat Pack: Live at the Sands will be presented tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 20) through Sunday (Dec. 22) on the Mainstage at Proctors (432 State St., Schenectady). Performances are Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 and 8 PM, and Sunday at 2 PM. Tickets are $20-$65. For more info, call 346-6204.
