Seth Glier, Antje Duvekot

by The Staff on January 9, 2014

The Linda, Saturday

Sure, Seth Glier (left) and Antje Duvekot both play guitar and sing world-weary folk but the thing the two Boston-based singer-songwriters might most have in common is their early affiliations with masters of the genre. In Glier’s case, it was Livingston Taylor, a professor at Berklee School of Music, who first took him under his wing and put him on stage with his famous brother. For Duvekot, it was Ellis Paul who really gave her a start. The two still regularly tour together. Now, each have outgrown their journey(wo)man status and are headlining performers in their own right. (Jan. 11, 8 PM, $15, 339 Central Ave., Albany, 465-5233)
