Sokea Piste

by The Staff on January 16, 2014

Valentine’s, Friday

“Sokea Piste is a murderous crush of perversity, paranoia and naked, twisted visions of blind rage, solitary insanity and silent, thoughtful violence.” They’re also from Finland. Or so say their press materials. See, Metroland  is somewhat close with another “Scandinavian” band (ahem, Five Alpha Beatdown) and can’t help but cast aspersions on the veracity of this creation myth. Like Kuru, Pori and Tampere are real places. Just like Tuska ja Ahdistus is a real record label. We’ll believe it when we hear it—and check those passports for proof. Aggressive Response, Kitty Little and Male Pattern will help. (Jan. 17, 8 PM, $7, 17 New Scotland Ave., Albany, 432-6572)
