The Parker Quartet, who are currently artists-in-residence at Harvard, will perform Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 9 in E-flat Major, Adés’ Arcadiana for String Quartet, and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 3 in D-major.
A critic for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review praised the quartet’s November performance as “refreshing in both the choice of repertoire and individuality of performance.”
The Parker Quartet will perform Saturday (Feb. 1) at 7 PM in Kiggins Hall at the Emma Willard School (285 Pawling Ave., Route 66, Troy). Tickets are $25, $15 students. For more info, call FOCM at 273-4843.
