Stefan Jackiw

by The Staff on February 13, 2014

Last year’s Union College Concert Series debut of violinist Stefan Jackiw was unfortunately cancelled when he suffered a hand injury. (It messed up his Carnegie Hall bow, too.) He’s fully recovered now, and will be in Schenectady this Sunday, with pianist Anna Polonsky, to present a varied program.

Works performed will include Brahms’ Sonata No. 1 in G-Major, Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne, David Fulmer’s They Turn Their Channeled Faces to the Sky, and Strauss’ Sonata in E-flat Major.

Stefan Jackiw will perform with Anna Polonsky this Sunday (Feb. 16) at 3 PM in the Union College Memorial Chapel (Schenectady). Tickets are $25, $10 students. For more info, call 388-6080.
