Wild Cub

by The Staff on February 13, 2014

The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Thursday

A mix of bass, synths, drums, and the soft vocals of frontman Keegan DeWitt make up the Nashville-born Wild Cub. Formed in 2012, the group’s recent debut album Youth combines electro-pop, tropical rhythms and cinematic reflection rather than the folk-coutry for which their hometown is known. DeWitt actually made the move south after deeming Brooklyn too expensive to work and make music. So, like, uh oh. Hadn’t he heard that Troy is the new Bushwick? The band made their New York return last month for a late night debut on Fallon. If you haven’t heard their WEQX-ready single “Thunder Clatter” yet, rest assured you will.
