With more than 150 tour dates every year, Grammy-nominated roots band, Yarn, bring their Americana sounds to fans all over the globe. Since their start in 2007 the sextet has gained a large following of devoted fans (nicknamed the “Yarmy”) who are not the only ones that appreciate the band’s unique alt-country tunes. John Oates of legendary Hall and Oates co-wrote two tracks on Yarn’s 2013 album, Shine the Light On. Oates says, “They have one foot in the traditional sound of bluegrass and the other foot stepping into the future. Great playing, great singing, great songwriting, what more is there?” The Brummy Brothers will open. (Feb. 14, 8 PM, $10, 388 Broadway, Albany, 465-0444)
