Whoever would have thought that a clever, low-budget, Roger Corman-directed comedy-horror film would be turned into an imaginative musical-comedy smash? From small things big things one day come, however—much just like the “star” of this play, a man- (and woman-) eating plant named Audrey II. That ever-growing diabolical creature is at the heart of this cracked love story-horror musical about a doomed nebbish in early-1960s New York. Beginning tonight (Thursday), C-R Productions will end their 11th season at the Cohoes Music Hall with this musical gem.
C-R Productions’ Little Shop of Horrors will open Thursday (May 8) at 8 PM and run through May 18 at the Cohoes Music Hall (58 Remsen St., Cohoes). Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets are $25 to $35. For more info, call the box office at 237-5858.
