Beginning Friday, Albany’s Sorelle Gallery will present Colorfall, an exhibit of recent works by painter Robert Longley. The subject of the paintings is neatly divided between rural and urban settings; the work has a strikingly atmospheric quality, a “mysterious ambiance,” whether the subject is a Cap Cod seascape or an Albany night scene.

Pictured is The Palace.

Colorfall opens tomorrow (Friday, May 30) with a reception from 5 to 8 PM at the Sorelle Gallery (Stuyvesant Plaza, 1475 Western Ave., Albany). It will remain on view through June 12. For more info, call the gallery at 482-2000.
