Beginning Friday, the Theatre Institute at Sage will present a new adaptation (originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain) of that beloved Dr. Seuss classic, The Cat in the Hat. All your favorite characters are on hand: the two lonely kids trapped inside on a rainy day; the fin-waving, meddling fish; and the troublemaking, titular Cat. (Plus the cat’s mischievous pals, Thing 1 and Thing 2.)
The Cat in the Hat opens tomorrow (Friday, June 6) at 7 PM on the main stage in the Schacht Fine Arts Center (Russell Sage College, 5 Division St., Troy) and runs through June 14. Additional performances are Saturday (June 7) at 11 AM and 2 PM; Tuesday and Wednesday (June 10-11) at 10 AM; June 12 at 10 AM; June 13 at 10 AM and 7 PM; and June 14 at 11 AM and 2 PM. Admission is $15 general, $12 students and seniors. For tickets, call the box office at 244-2248.
