If you haven’t yet signed up for theater camp, it’s not too late. Capital Repertory Theatre is hosting a week-long Acting Intensive in August for teenagers. It will be taught by “theater professionals” led Timothy Deenihan, who was the leading man in such Cap Rep productions as Venus in Fur, The Seafarer, Race and Betrayal. The workshop will include such aspects as “scene and partner work” from classic plays; character development, “speech and movement” for the stage; monologues; and training “with real life perspective.” Performance experience is “preferred but not required.”

The Acting Intensive will be held at Capital Repertory Theatre (111 N. Pearl Street, Albany) from 9 AM to 4 PM on Aug. 4-8, with a performance at 4 PM on Aug. 8. The program is open to students ages 14-17. The deadline to enroll is July 25. Tuition is $250. For more info, contact Katherine Stephens at 382-3884 ext. 168 or kstephens@proctors.org.

There were a few glitches in last week’s Summer Guide listings. Turns out, for example, that there’s no SAWFest in Salem this year. Oops. We (specifically, me) also forgot to include info about the Buck Moon Arts Festival. And so . . .

The Buck Moon Arts Festival is a “diverse, family friendly” visual and performaing arts event featuring vendors, juried arts and crafts, workshops, demonstrations, and multi-venue live music and dance performances plus artisan foods, a farmers market, and wine and craft beer tastings. The festival will be held July 12 and 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM—rain or shine—at Fulton-Montgomery Community College (2805 State Highway 67, Johnstown). Admission is free. We’ll have more info next month, closer to the dates of the festival.

Never, ever, EVER e-mail anything to metroland@metroland.net. OK? Thanks.
