Andrew Lynn founded Troy Bike Rescue, which takes discarded
bicycles and retrofits them for people who cant afford
new ones; Dave Smalley and Sarah Johnston touted the benefits
of their off-the-grid home, which stayed on full power throughout
the Blackout of 2003; Yacob Williams and other Neighborhood
Green and Clean volunteers cleaned up the vacant lot on
the corner of North Swan and Third streets in Albany; Jose
Serrano, Tyrell Pryor and Maurice Branch made plans to renovate
a park in Troy that they cleaned up and got the city to
pay attention to again; Steve Leibo and Ed Tick continued
their work organizing trips to Vietnam for veterans and
others who want to know the country as it is today, not
just as it was during wartime.
