Alumni Recreation Center (aka the ARC),
Siena College, 515 Loudon Road, Loudonville, athletic ticket office: 783-2528. Home of Siena NCAA Division I women’s basketball.

BIG Arena
900 Delaware Ave., Delmar, 439-2211. Offering year-round, indoor ice skating, this facility also features skate rentals, lessons and hockey leagues.

Bleecker Stadium
Clinton Avenue, Albany, 438-2166. High school baseball and football, college baseball, semi-pro Albany Twilight League baseball and occasional city-sponsored recreation events.

Glens Falls Civic Center
1 Civic Center Plaza, Glens Falls, 798-0202. Home of the United Hockey League’s Adirondack IceHawks and United States Basketball League’s Adirondack Wildcats. Other events include pro boxing, dances and more.

Heritage Park
Albany Shaker Road, Colonie, 869-9234. Long the home of Class AA baseball, Heritage Park still boasts pro ball with the independent Northeast League’s Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs. It’s also utilized for some high school and college sporting events.

Houston Field House
Burdett and Peoples avenues, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus, Troy, 276-6262. Home of RPI NCAA Division I hockey.

Pepsi Arena
51 S. Pearl St., Albany, 487-2000. The American Hockey League’s Albany River Rats, as well as the Albany Attack lacrosse team, anchor the area’s largest indoor sports venue, to which arena football will return in 2002. The 15,000-seat arena also has pro wrestling, several NBA and NHL exhibitions yearly, and Siena College NCAA Division I men’s home basketball games.

Lebanon Valley Speedway
Route 20, West Lebanon, 794-9606. The summer place to be for stock-car competition.

Saratoga Equine Sports Center
Nelson Avenue, Saratoga Springs, 584-2110. Year-round harness racing and telecasting.

Saratoga Race Course
Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, 584-6200. One of the oldest and most beautiful thoroughbred tracks in the nation. The meet begins in late July and continues through Labor Day.

University at Albany Recreation and Convocation Center (aka the RACC),
University at Albany, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, 442-DANE (3263). Includes an indoor track, fitness center, racquetball and squash courts. Home to UAlbany basketball.

Bally’s Total Fitness,

The Center for Body/Mind Awareness,

East Greenbush Health and Fitness,

Fitness Factory,

Forever Young,

In Town Yoga Studio,

Maximum Fitness,

Northeastern New York Safety & Health Council,

River Street Club
