you haven’t quite warmed up to the digital-download age, or
if you’re just a fan of vintage vinyl, there are still a handful
of area stores to serve your interests. In addition to the
specialty stores described below, big-box department and/or
electronic stores including Best Buy, Target
and Wal-Mart, as well as local Borders and Barnes
& Noble locations, have music sections and often offer
first-week discounts on major releases. Also, retail music
chains FYE and Coconuts have stores in many
area shopping centers and malls.

stock is about 75-percent vinyl—the store’s specialty is old
45s—it also stocks cassettes and CDs. The store also does
a big mail-order business.
