Bleecker Stadium Clinton Avenue, Albany, 438-2166. High-school baseball and football, college baseball, semi-pro Albany Twilight League baseball, Metro Mallers football and occasional city-sponsored recreation events.

Glens Falls Civic Center 1 Civic Center Plaza, Glens Falls, 798-0366, glens Home of the Adirondack Frostbite hockey team and United States Basketball League’s Adirondack Wildcats. Other events include pro boxing, dances and more.

Houston Field House Burdett and Peoples avenues, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus, Troy, 276-6262. Home of RPI NCAA Division I hockey. Public skating offered.

Times Union Center 51 S. Pearl St., Albany, 487-2000, timesunioncenter- The American Hockey League’s Albany River Rats and the Arena Football 2 League’s Albany Conquest anchor the area’s largest indoor sports venue. The 15,000-seat arena also has pro wrestling, several NBA and NHL exhibitions yearly, and Siena College NCAA Division I men’s home basketball games.

Lebanon Valley Speedway Route 20, West Lebanon, 794-7130, lebanon The summer place to be for stock-car competition. Saturday nights, mid-April through September.

Saratoga Race Course Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, 584-6200, One of the oldest and most beautiful thoroughbred tracks in the nation. The meet begins in late July and continues through Labor Day.

Saratoga Raceway Crescent Avenue, Saratoga Springs, 584-2110, saratoga Year-round harness racing and simulcasting.

University at Albany Recreation and Convocation Center (aka the RACC) University at Albany, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, 442-DANE (3263), Includes an indoor track, fitness center, racquetball and squash courts. Home to UAlbany basketball.

Washington Avenue Armory 195 Washington Ave., Albany, 512-5203, Home of the Albany Patroons. Also, boxing.
