On April 12, teams of “the best and brightest members of the of the design community,” like these fine folks here, met at the New York State Museum (Empire State Plaza, Albany) for Canstruction, the 1st Annual Capital Region Design/Build Competition. That is to say, they built giant sculptures with canned goods that, at the close of the exhibit, will be donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District. The exhibit is on view through April 28, and is on view on the NYSM’s 4th floor. If you want to check out a short video clip of how it’s done, visit nysm.nysed.gov/programs/canstruction.
