Benedick and Beatrice love each other but don’t want to admit it. Claudio and Hero love each other but are tricked into an acrimonious parting. What will happen? As Much Ado About Nothing is Shakespearian comedy, the complications—and laughs—will be plentiful as these mismatched lovers sort themselves out.
In ye olden days when Will Shakespeare penned this comedy, only men were allowed to be actors. This Theatre Institute at Sage production does something wonderfully appropriate for a show at the esteemed, all-woman Russell Sage College: this Much Ado About Nothing has no men in the cast.
Pictured are (l-r) Emily Curro and Kristie Wortman, looking like they’re kind of far away from happily ever after—but they’ll get there.
The Theatre Institute at Sage will present Much Ado About Nothing on Saturday (Feb. 11) at 8 PM and Sunday (Feb. 12) at 2 PM, and continuing through Feb. 19 at the Schacht Fine Arts Center (Russell Sage College, Troy). Tickets are $10, $8 seniors and students. For reservations and info, please call 244-2248.
