Tape Drift Celebration

by Metroland Staff on January 3, 2013

It’s been a big year for Eric Hardiman, paladin of Albany’s avant-noise court. Two of his psych-guitar projects, Rambutan and Fossils from the Sun, just got a nice little write-up from legendary music scribe Byron Coley in the pages of The Wire. When he’s not booking local shows or performing, though, Hardiman runs Tape Drift Records, a cassette-and-vinyl-oriented label specializing in freak music by the likes of MV/EE and others. He’ll be taking a sojourn in Scotland in the coming months, but before he goes, soundBarn in Valatie is sending him off proper with sets by Jason Cosco, Parashi, Matt Weston and both of Hardiman’s aformentioned projects.
